Davor Gromilović is one of the most prominent and intriguing young visual artists of Southeastern Europe. Although painting and drawing are the primary fields of Davor’s creative explorations, he also shows impressive creative abilities and genuine commitment to other artistic forms, such as murals, graphics, illustration, art zines and T-shirt design. Davor’s visual narratives are inspired by the fantastic motives of fairy tales, folk-art and cultural heritage that marked the childhood of his generation. In Davor’s work we can notice a dominant use of symbols, his inner world and complex reflections from which he develops his ideas and specific intimate aesthetics.
